YOUR ROLE IN THE FAMILY:
Develops and executes sourcing strategies for key ingredients in line with company goals and customer requirements.
Reviews existing contracts with suppliers to ensure on-going feasibility.
Performs risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
Provides regular reports on market developments, cost-saving opportunities, and supplier performance. Tracks and reports on commodity consumption, market price trends, and cost fluctuations
Negotiates contracts and agreements with suppliers to achieve the best total cost, ensures supply continuity, and manages risk.
Maintains strong, long-term relationships with suppliers and proactively manages supplier performance.
Collaborates with the customer on ingredient forecasting, volume planning, and operational support issues.
Enters and maintains forecasts and purchase orders for ingredients to ensure supply meets production demand.
Ensures pricing data and supplier contracts are accurately entered into and maintained in ERP system (SAP preferred).
Resolves supplier invoice discrepancies and ensures smooth order-to-pay processes.
Acts as a key point of contact for headquarters and customers on ingredient-related topics and support cross-functional initiatives.
Supports continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes and cost optimization.
Ensures compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities.
Performs additional duties and special projects as assigned

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
3+ years of progressive experience in purchasing or supply chain – experience with large annual volume contracts preferred
Ability to research and understand commodity markets and supplier management principles.
Advanced ERP system experience: SAP strongly preferred.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage competing demands in a dynamic manufacturing setting.
Experience managing relationships with prominent brand owners or top-tier customers is a plus.
