Lead Railcar Receiver

YOUR ROLE IN THE FAMILY:
- Provide ongoing performance feedback, mentor direct reports, and manage team performance by identifying strengths and areas for improvement.
- Lead, motivate, and support employees to foster a high level of trust, accountability, and positive employee relations through open communication.
- Ensure adherence to all Plant Safety policies, PPE requirements, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs); hold team members accountable to the same standards.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor railcar unloading operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and accuracy.
- Operate and oversee equipment used to transfer liquid and dry materials from railcars to storage tanks or silos.
- Verify railcar placement, identification numbers, and inspect for cleanliness, leaks, damage, and compliance with loading/unloading procedures.
- Monitor product movement, including flow rates, volumes, temperatures, and tank levels using gauges, meters, and related equipment.
- Start and regulate pumps, valves, and related systems to control product flow according to established procedures.
- Complete required documentation and record operating data such as quantities, gauge readings, and operating times.
- Coordinate and execute periodic cleaning and sanitation activities within the rail area.
- Ensure team members are properly cross trained to maximize operational efficiency and workforce flexibility.
- Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
- Works in a manufacturing environment; outdoor work on rail dock
- While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to: talk, hear, reach with hands and arms, grasp, pick, lift, stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions. The employee must frequently lift and /or move 50 pounds.
