YOUR ROLE IN THE FAMILY:
Be the liaison between contractor support and maintenance staff
Routinely assist manager with meeting outside vendors or suppliers
Be the liaison between maintenance / production staff from day and nightshift
Lead and oversee the duties of department staff during repairs/overhauls and preventive maintenance tasks.
Engage/be a driver of thorough troubleshooting
Lead and be a champion of Root Cause Analysis for any failures that put production operations at risk of downtime
Lead in the diagnostics, installation, maintenance and repairs of electrical, electromechanical, electronic and mechanical equipment related to: Sugar Silos, Rail Stations, Sugar dissolvers, Syrup 1 and Syrup Room 2
Work closely with Technical Trainer to develop SOP’s and work guidelines for the maintenance /production department.
Work closely with Technical Trainer to develop trainee material /program for the maintenance /operator staff
Offer suggestion for performance evaluations
Assigning Work Orders or PM’s to the Syrup Technicians
Coordinates with Spare Parts to ensure recommend spares are ordered and assist with the following up of orders
Ensure work orders and Labor hours are accurate added into the SAP system
Dislodges and clears jammed materials or other items from machinery and equipment following Lockout/Tagout procedures entail regulations when using, dispensing, or handling hazardous and non-hazardous materials and waste
Observes production and monitors equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
Recognizes and follows Good Manufacturing Processes
Follows Food Safety Elements
Recognizes and follows HACCP requirements
Maintains a safe and secure work environment, including correcting unsafe acts/conditions
Supports implementation, maintenance and ongoing improvement of the food safety and handling system
Maintains and ensures adherence to sanitation practices
Follows all standard operating procedures (SOP’s) for area of responsibility
Effectively responds to directions during emergencies by understanding emergency procedures, equipment and systems as necessary; Implements contingency plan to the level required
Written daily reports about adjustments and repairs.
Estimate labor and items needed for preventive maintenance duties or planned repairs.
Demonstrated organizational skills and supports spare parts division to ensure necessary parts are available and stocked.
Complies with environmental regulations when using, dispensing, or handling hazardous and non-hazardous materials and waste
Ability to work overtime, nights, and weekends when needed to complete priority repairs or provide shift coverage when needed
