Lead Maintenance Technician

YOUR ROLE IN THE FAMILY:

  • Maintains a safe and secure work environment, including correcting unsafe acts/conditions         
  • Ensure proper shift pass down reports to Lead Maintenance Technician and maintenance manager or assistant maintenance manager        
  • Coordinates system repairs and monitor system performance        
  • Maintains adequate parts inventory and order items as necessary        
  • Participates in equipment audits and record-taking policies        
  • Follows all standard operating procedures (SOP’s) for area of responsibility         
  • Effectively responds to directions during emergencies by understanding emergency procedures, equipment and systems as necessary; Implements contingency plan to the level required       
  • Complies with environmental regulations when using, dispensing, or handling hazardous and non-hazardous materials and waste       
  • Repairs, troubleshoots, improves, and maintains high speed production and packaging line equipment        
  • Troubleshoots, maintains, overhauls, lubricates, disassembles/reassembles and repairs as needed equipment including Pumps, Valves, Heat Exchangers, Filters, Gearboxes, Fillers, Seamers, Packers         
  • Resolves motor, pump, conveyor, and hydraulic issues        
  • Interprets schematics and equipment manuals        
  • Utilizes Maintenance Management software to receive and print daily work order assignments; track and enter time work against work orders; create repair work orders as needed to correct issues        
  • Effectively responds to directions during emergencies by understanding emergency procedures, equipment and systems as necessary; Implements contingency plan to the level required        
  • Complies with environmental regulations when using, dispensing, or handling hazardous and non-hazardous materials and waste     
  • Other duties assigned by management

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR TO JOIN OUR FAMILY?

  • 5 years of leadership related experience preferred     
  • Ability to handle sensitive and proprietary information in a confidential manner        
  • Strong understanding of warehouse control systems      
  • Ability to read and understand complex electrical, mechanical and automation systems       
  • Working knowledge of Industrial electrical, mechanical        
  • Able to work independently as well as working within a team        
  • Demonstrates attention to detail        
  • Takes initiative; proactive instead of reactive       
  • Adapts to everchanging priorities, situations, and workflow
